Can Photographs Change the World?
I believe photographs can have an impact on the world. They provide inspiration to many. When I was a little girl, I did a project on Mother Teresa a Roman Catholic nun who was a humanitarian. I was inspired by her dedication to help poor people who were extremely ill. Over her lifetime she established multiple charities such as an orphanages, family clinics, home for the dying and “opened Gift of Love, a home to care for those infected with HIV/AIDS in New York.” Her missions inspired people to volunteer all around the world to help people in need. Although, I haven't had the opportunity to volunteer around the world, I volunteered at nursing homes throughout my childhood. When I was old enough I began working with people with mental and physical disabilities making differences in their lives. I've been continuing my education in health sciences to gain more knowledge and skills to continue to help people in need. There is nothing more rewarding than helping...
